One thousand dollars may seem like a lot of money to certain nonprofit organizations, but for small organizations, it may be a large sum of money. Here are 7 ideas to increase rapidly to $ 1,000.

1. Make an "Easy miles. Get 10 board members, volunteers, donors or each application 10 people for $ 10 each. You can change this to $ 15.625 by changing the numbers to 25 people 25 people asking for $ 25 each. It can also give you a lots of new donors!

2. Organize a party at home. Ask members of the Board of Directors, volunteers and donors have a dinner in their home and invite their friends. Having a staff member to make a short presentation of your organization followed by a testimony of the host evening. Then, give customers the opportunity to make a donation. Make sure you get names and addresses so you can thank our many customers and put them on your list.

3. Have a great sale Yard. Ask members of the board of directors, volunteers and friends to donate their items undesirable and maintain a large yard sale. Make it known in advance to let the community know what you do and you try to increase $ 1,000. Donate leftovers to a local thrift store.

4. Hold a "non-Event" (Example: "no ball at all"). Create a fictional event and send invitations to ask people to buy "tickets to this event which will not place. It is a great theme for a mail merge and generally works well.

5. Request for donation to your organization in honor of your birthday. Most of us have more than we need anyway, ask your friends and family to make a donation in honor of your special day. Facebook has an easy way to ask friends online for a gift and you can set a goal so that others know you're trying to do.

6. Launch a viral email campaign. Write a short email and pressing send to everyone you have email addresses for. Make sure that you try to increase $ 1,000. Include a link to your "Donate Now" button online. Then, invite the reader to forward this email to others who might be interested.

7. Upgrade an existing donor. Look through your list of current donors and find someone who has received $ 500 in last year. Invite them to visit your facility and ask them to donate $ 1,000.
