Let’s look beyond sales to raise funds since the economy is in bad shape. I along with thousands of Americans can’t buy overpriced items to raise money for my kids’ school. So instead I am using http://www.mainstreetfair.com to sell many items that I don’t use anymore. Every time one of those items sells the school gets money and they donate to any school in the U.S.
John, You do make a good point. So many fundraising products are way overpriced. However, there are some exceptions. $10.00 Cookie Dough, Salsa and the I-Mark Pen Program are 3 examples of more reasonably prices programs. The other thing about product sales is that even if the items sold are “pricey,” they still raise a school much more money than the “non-traditional” online type programs. Personally I think that will probably change, but it is some years away before those numbers cross. I like the idea of these “non-traditional” school fundraising programs however. Yours seems to be a good, solid and easy to understand one. – Dan Hatcher
