Decide the purpose of the event. How much money do you hope? If you are looking for a smaller quantity, try a bake sale, selling things like candy or items for the home, Chili Cook Off, garage sales, auctions, 50/50 raffles, eating in a restaurant that will donate a percentage of sales to your charity and so on.
Larger amounts can use Many different types of fundraising included in the largest event. What is the advantage? Silent auction and raffles work well with large events, even the right gifts or pledges.
Organize a team
Organize a team and assign each person or group to a specific task. Organize regular meetings to discuss progress of the event. Establish a timetable and a list where each element must be finished.
Keep detailed records of all the things you do after event, taking notes on what worked well and what can be improved. This will be your guide for next time.
Recruitment or volunteers who will be assigned to the service? People paid or volunteer? The staffing of the event is extremely important and must be handled by paid staff most of the time. Use volunteers who have volunteered for a long period time. A miss about the work or action could be costly.
Invitations
Who will you invite? If you not already, start a list of computerized spreadsheet of donors as possible, information dissemination and a column of record donations. Invite people from the central administration of your charity. Send a personalized invitation to a company head and local celebrities, or any other person who may be or has been a contributor.

How much should you charge as an auction entry fee for a silent art?
It is a fundraiser for a nonprofit org fledging, want to be that. All art is from local (but probably unknown) artists of all kinds. I thought $ 10 (it is in a rich city), but the real organizer think $ 2. It is at night, and there will be food.
