Recently, I conducted a webinar to teach people about my "Simple Success" fundraising plan. One of the things I shared was the 7 questions Your answer fundraising regime. I thought you might enjoy it too, so here they are.
1. How much should you do? You need a specific objective of your plan. If you just want to "make more money" you adjust to failure. After all, how much more money? $ 1 more? $ 100 more?
2. Where does the money go? You need a mixture sources of income to ensure the health of your organization. Want to raise money from individuals? Foundations? Calendar? Do not set a goal without knowing where you'll find money.
3. Who will we ask? Be specific. Who will ask you for money? This is creating lists of potential donors.
4. When will we ask? Create a calendar of when you ask. Grant deadlines include, events, etc. To get a complete picture of your year.
5. How do we ask? You should consider the amount you will ask each donor. You may have to make a little research in some cases, how much is appropriate, especially if you are working with major donors.
6. How do we track a gift? You need to know how you thank your donors, how you steward gifts, and how you build relationships. Be proactive about it – is not reactive!
7. How long will we ask again? Do not be afraid to ask several times during the year for a gift. If you ask only once during the year, I promise you will leave money on the table! If you work to build good relationships with your donors, they want you to support the work you do. Make it easy for them by giving them multiple opportunities to give.

Any special creative ideas for fundraising?
I am a student body president, and one I know our school really needs is spirit, I was looking bulldog mascot costumes, they are not cheap, especially the good-looking. Anyway, we will not ask our parents for money, and our sports-Board is really, really, really, really cheap! Does anyone else have some cool fundraising ideas that will help us. We must do something more than $ 500 in 2 to 3 weeks! HELP!
Garage Sale – have the students bring at least one element of a home and / or collect an item from each of the 10 neighbors. Everyone has at least one CD or a video game or they can have a part. You would probably need to get permission to use the gym. Then the elements sorted in a few different price categories and use color-coded stickers. For example: have a table or with products that are 2 for a dollar, another area with $ 1-dollar positions, $ 5 Dollar Product etc. Depending on the type of items that are donated, you can even $ 10 to $ 20-dollar products. If you are local to some larger companies can Objects that you can set up silent auction donating. You can even able, local restaurants offering gifts for subs or pizza, or buy one free meals donation received. Everyone loves a garage sale! No matter what you do, select it some of the organization and volunteers are to take. As none of the elements should not cost you anything, you can find the really good deals on everything and spread the word that people be able to get things like CD's for 3 for $ 5 or whatever whatever.
